At the moment the world is going through challenging times that are putting us all to test. Together we must do everything to stop the spread of the virus. Since the outbreak began OPTIX have been implementing wide-ranging measures to protect our people and communities, while maintaining our usual level support to customers and partners.
Our primary concern continues to be the health and safety of our colleagues and their families, customers, our business partners and the local communities. All Public Health measures advised by government are being followed in support of efforts to contain the spread of the virus. We would like to emphasize that OPTIX is taking every precaution that we are aware of to be appropriate on an evolving-daily basis to protect the wellbeing of our employees, our customers and the general public.
We have asked a lot of our administrative personnel who can adequately and effectively work remotely to take “home office”. Our motivated sales team continues to process orders and make shipments and we have taken all of the appropriate steps to minimize the number of people in any one place and have spread out their location to maximize distancing. Naturally schools being closed will effect a number of our employees and we will all see what flexibilities is required by that fact, but we are trying to be as supportive as we can to everyone while continuing to support our customer base at normal levels.
As health is our major responsibility we inform that:
1. We are still running strong in the production, trying to meet all confirmed delivery terms.
2. We have no cases of the virus documented in the town where we manufacture all our products or anyone at the Company, however as a precaution:
a. We have closed the facility from ALL visitors, including employees that live in Sofia and elsewhere;
b. We have a health screening procedure stationed at the door assuring that no employee that has any symptoms or has come into contact with anyone that has travelled recently is allowed in;
c. We have separated work areas beyond the limit deemed “safe” by the local health authorities;
d. We have bi-furcated our shifts to equal output to assure we have continuity;
e. We have deep cleaning between shifts;
f. We have not had no major raw material delays or notices of pending delays associated with this crisis.
While this is a highly unexpected worldwide situation, we do not have any impact to note yet to either the demand side or output side of our business. We will be monitoring this on a daily basis.
All our ongoing projects are running as planned and we are doing our best to finalize them successfully.
We wish our employees, partners, customers and their families all the best during this difficult period.
