The wildfires are colossal and destructive disaster. They can cause serious and often irreversible damages to the forest ecosystems, reduce the number of biological species, disturb the balance of nature and change the Earth’s climate. During the dry and warm months of the summer, when hot and strong winds are blowing, the threat of fires dramatically increases. A newly emerged fire, either by human negligence or by high temperatures, can grow up with 2 km/h.

 

The only effective method for minimizing the damages from the wildfires  is their initial stage detection and the rapid reaction for their suppression. The solution for early fire detection IdentiFIRE developed by OPTIX, can assist the government authorities for early detection of the wildfires and enable the control of their spreading.
 

Wildfires detection

In those extreme conditions a small fire can grow into a giant disaster and real catastrophe, if not overcome within half to one hour. The chronicles point out that after the specified time is too late, and the made efforts are enormous. The world economy tolerated incessant heavy blows. Human life is lost. The only effective method for minimizing the damages from the wildfires is their initial stage detection and the rapid reaction for their suppression.

Based on multiple real tests we have been able to optimize the IR heat detection algorithms with which we have achieved extremely acceptable levels of false alarms.

* Distances are calculated based on geometrical values and do not take into account atmospheric conditions. The detection range is strongly affected by the meteorological, the atmospheric and the geographical conditions!
